Cancellation and refund policy:

 

  • If for any reason the student needs to cancel or re-schedule a lesson, it needs to be cancelled 24 hours before the scheduled appointment, otherwise there will be a $50 cancellation fee at the discretion of the owner and instructor. If the fee is not paid upon cancellation, Yolanda's Driving School can nullify the package agreement with or without refunding the remaining value of the package amount already paid.

  • The Returned Check Fee is $30.

  • There will be no refunds after a package has been purchased and lesson time has commenced.

  • The student will have 12 months from time of receipt of payment to finish all lesson time. After which, the lesson will be considered abandoned and will no longer be honored.

  • By making a purchase, the purchaser agrees to these terms and conditions.

Behind the Wheel Drive time

For teens or adults

Choose a lesson plan from 1 hour to 12 hours. Lessons are typically set up in 2 hour increments.

(2 hours per lesson)

We provide free at home pick-up and drop-off service for students within our designated service area. For students outside of our service area, we will arrange free pick-up and drop-off at the driving school office, Pasadena DMV, or El Monte DMV at your convenience.

Students under the age of 18 are required by law to obtain at least 6 hours of professional instruction in order to be eligible to obtain a Driver's License. 

  • 1 Hour - $90

  • 2 Hours - $150

  • 4 Hours - $300

  • 6 Hours - $420 (Most popular)

  • 8 Hours - $560

  • 10 Hours - $650

  • 12 Hours - $780 (Best value)

Please note, a one hour lesson will be office or DMV pick-up and drop-offonly.

Home pick-up is not available with a 1 hour lesson. 

DMV drive test assistance

For teens or adults

$190

One of our instructors will assist you with your DMV Drive Test.

We will provide a 45 minute warm-up session on the day of your DMV Drive Test. 

After your warm-up, your instructor will walk you through every step of the DMV check-in process. You will then use the same Yolanda's Driving School car that you're already familiar with to take the DMV Drive Test. 

After completion of the DMV Drive Test, your instructor can go over the test results with you and answer any questions you may have.

Available DMV locations at with no fee:

Pasadena DMV, El Monte DMV

Available locations with a $35 Distance Fee:

Bell Gardens DMV, Bellflower DMV, Glendale DMV, Lincoln Park DMV, Rancho Cucamonga DMV

Montebello DMV, Pomona DMV, West Covina DMV, Whittier DMV

The first 2 ½ hours of the drive test process is at the standard rate listed. Every half hour after will accrue a $30 fee.

The following lists DMVs are within our service area and the additional distance fees. Fees will be collected at the time of the drive test.

1 Hour Freeway Lesson

For teens or adults

$140

Your instructor will go over everything you will need to utilize the extensive Los Angeles freeway system.

Entering and exiting freeways. Lane usage. Junctions and signs. HOV lanes and expressways. Defensive driving. Tips and unwritten rules of the road.

Give yourself the freedom to get anywhere in Los Angeles or any large city quickly, safely and with confidence.

For seniors

1 ½ Hour Senior Evaluation

$140

This session is recommended if you are unsure if you will pass a DMV drive test. We can give a refresher course to help increase your safety habits and awareness techniques.

This is required in California if there are indications of driver impairment, based on a report by a law enforcement officer, a physician or a family member.
